FAQ

What is a death doula?

A death doula is an individual who is drawn in spirit to help guide those who are dying. We fill in the gaps of hospice care and doctors, more focusing on the wishes of the dying and advocating for their needs, both medical and familial.

Does insurance cover these services?

At this time, insurance does not cover these services.

Are you a caregiver?

This is a strictly non-medical position. While I have a medical background as a CNA and medical administrator, I can help coordinate medical appointments and paperwork, but as non-medical personnel.

Do I have to be dying to use your services?

No, in fact, I believe it is better to be prepared well ahead of time. If you wish to have help in planning your funeral, or have questions about living wills, DNR’s/DNI’s, or perhaps you have death anxiety, I provide 1:1 coaching to work through those big feelings.

Who would benefit from your services?

Anyone who is trying to navigate their dying process, whether it be active or in the future. Family members who are primary care takers can also benefit from this as I can be used a resource for relief.
